UCR's Allison Wilder Takes Aim At An NCAA Indoor Championship

Fayetteville, AR—While her teammates were opening the outdoor track and field season at the Ben Brown Invitational in Fullerton, California on Saturday, March 6, senior triple jumper Allison Wilder headed northward to the University of Washington Final Qualifier Meet. As it turns out, it was time well spent for the Covina, California native as she bettered her school mark with a leap of 13.13m, winning the event and punching her ticket to Fayetteville, Arkansas and the 2010 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championship.

Softball Hosts Amy S. Harrison Classic Starting Friday

The UC Riverside softball team continues their 15-game home stand by hosting the Amy S. Harrison Classic on Friday-Sunday Mar. 12-14 at Amy S. Harrison Field in Riverside. Gates open one hour prior to the first game, and all fans must park in Lot 26 on Friday, and in Lot 24 on Saturday and Sunday. Los Angeles—The UC Riverside Baseball Team battled back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game in the sixth, but the tenth-ranked UCLA Bruins strung together a single, a sacrifice bunt, a wild pitch and a sac fly in the ninth to take a 3-2 win over the visiting Highlanders Tuesday evening.

UCR Baseball Travels West To UCLA For Tuesday Tilt With No. 10 Bruins

The UC Riverside Baseball team has one regulation game left before taking a break for Finals as they travel to No. 10 UCLA on Tuesday evening. First pitch is slated for 6 pm PT, and those of you who are unable to make the trip can listen to The Voice of the Highlanders, Ghizal Hasan, bring the call from Jackie Robinson Stadium directly to your computer via gohighlanders.com. Freshman Trevor Frank (2-0, 3.75) gets the start for UCR as he shoots for his third win of the season.

Men's Tennis Drops 7-0 Decision To Pennsylvania

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside men's tennis team played the first of four matches scheduled for this week on Monday afternoon, but were defeated 7-0 by Pennsylvania at the SRC Tennis Complex. At No. 1 singles, Quoc Doan pushed his match to three sets before eventually falling 6-2, 6-7 (10-3) to Eugene Brazdil. Ryan Stanbury (pictured) at the sixth singles position also took his match the extra frame, but could not pull it out as he lost 7-5, 5-7 (10-1).
