Fullerton—Kyle Austin put on an offensive clinic Saturday evening at Cal State Fullerton's Titan Gym pouring in a career-high 35 points as the Highlanders ended a three-game losing streak with a 76-59 win over the Titans. It was the second most points scored by a UCR player in the Division I era. Rickey Porter set that mark when he scored 40 at Pacific on January 7, 2006. (

Six games remain in the Big West regular season as teams jockey for tournament seeding throughout February. The Highlanders currently trail eighth place UC Irvine by one game, but UCR currently owns the tiebreaker with the Anteaters having beaten them 65-56 on UCI’s home court on January 23. UCR travels to Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, February 6 as they attempt to move past the Anteaters in the standings. Tip time is 6 pm PT, and UCR fans who are unable to attend may

Larry Gurganious (pictured) recorded his first career double-double scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, seven of which came on the offensive end, but it wasn't enough as the Highlanders dropped their fifth straight home game, 63-47, to Cal State Northridge.
