The Puerto Rican Soccer Federation announced last week that after a week-long series of tryouts in January, UC Riverside midfielder Tyler Wilson has earned a spot on the Puerto Rico U21 National Team Pool. The selected players from this pool will compete in the Central American and Caribbean Games in July of 2010 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

The UC Riverside Men's Soccer Program is hosting the Highlander ID Camp for boys ages 15-19 on February 20-21 at the UCR Soccer Stadium. The Saturday, February 20 sessions run from 10 am–noon and 3–5 pm, with the single Sunday, February 21 session running from 10am–noon. Cost for all three sessions is $125.00 per person. The maximum number of registrants is 70 field players and six goalkeepers, so contact the UCR Men's Soccer Office today to secure your spot. Irvine, CA - The Big West Conference announced prior to the holidays that a total of 117 student-athletes from the nine member institutions were honored on the 2009 Big West Conference Fall All-Academic Team for the sports of women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country. UC Riverside placed 16 athletes on the team, the second-most of any Big West School. Complete Release
