Women's Soccer Celebrates Senior Day With 2-0 Win Over UC Davis

The UC Riverside Women's Soccer Team said goodbye to its five seniors Sunday afternoon sending them off in grand fashion with a 2-0 win over UC Davis. UCR honored (l-r) Ashley Parks, Denise Thomas, Lauren Leonard, Nicole Yumori and Heidi Gassaway prior to kickoff for their contributions to the program over the past four years.

Women's Soccer Prepares For Final Two Matches Of 2009 Season

The final weekend of the 2009 women's soccer season begins Friday as the Highlanders (5-8-4, 0-5-1) host Pacific (9-5-3, 3-2-1), at 7 pm PT. UCR is coming off of a 1-1 tie at Long Beach State on Sunday that credited them with their first points of the conference season. Denise Thomas (pictured) increased her team high point total to eight with an assist in the win over the 49ers.

Ashley Parks (pictured) scored her second goal of the season in the first half, helping the UC Riverside Women's Soccer Team (5-8-4, 0-5-1) earn its first Big West Conference points of the season Sunday afternoon as they tied Long Beach State (5-9-3, 1-4-1) 1-1.

UCR Asst Coach Tommy Tate To Travel With US National Team To Germany

UC Riverside Assistant Women's Soccer Coach Tommy Tate has been named the goalkeeper coach for the US Women's National Team for their trip to Germany in late October. After a week of training, the US will face off against the German National Team on October 29 at 10 am PT.
