Irvine, CA - The Big West Conference announced prior to the holidays that a total of 117 student-athletes from the nine member institutions were honored on the 2009 Big West Conference Fall All-Academic Team for the sports of women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country. UC Riverside placed 16 athletes on the team, the second-most of any Big West School.

UC Riverside is celebrating former Highlanders Head Volleyball Coach Sue Gozansky and 40 years of UCR Volleyball this Saturday, December 12 at 11:30 am at the Highlander Union Building.
