Women's Tennis Advances at Cal State Fullerton Tournament

Fullerton, CA - The UC Riverside women's tennis team continued play on day two of the Cal State Fullerton tournament on Saturday. Four Highlanders took to the courts in singles while one duo of players competed in doubles action. First Day Results.
Senior Roxanne Plata won her third round match over Marcia Planas 6-2, 6-1 but fell in the semifinals later in the day 6-4, 6-1 to Estelle LaPorte.
In doubles action, Plata teamed up with Angelique Corpuz (pictured) to win their second round match 8-4 over players from Cal State Fullerton.
The tournament concludes on Sunday morning.
