Q: Before we get to the 2010 season, what were your thoughts at the conclusion of the 2009 season with regards to the team’s play and outlook for the future?
A: We ended the season at the Big West Conference championship at San Luis Obispo Country Club last April. We were leading after the first round but dropped to fourth of eight to finish the event. It was a good sign, though, because Scott Clayton and Andrew Patipaksiri had a strong tournament.
Q: Speaking of Scott Clayton and Andrew Patipaksiri, they finished tied for third at the Big West Championship last season. What are your expectations of them heading into the year?
A: I expect that they’ll be two of the top players on the team. They certainly were in the 2008-09 season and I think they’ll carry us this year.
