Ruffin, Gastao And Ngo Earn Big West Men's Tennis All-Conference Honors

Irvine, CA—The Big West Conference announced its 2013 Men's Tennis All-Conference Team Tuesday afternoon, naming UC Riverside freshman Julian Ruffin to the singles honorable mention team, and the Highlanders duo of Luis Gastao and Calvin Ngo to the doubles honorable mention team.
Ruffin won the most matches for the Highlanders this season, posting a 9-17 overall singles record and a 6-16 mark in dual matches playing at numbers two and three.
Gastao and Ngo likewise led UCR's doubles teams with a 5-8 record including a 5-7 mark in dual matches.
Cal Poly's Andre Dome was named the Big West Player of the Year with Sem Verbeek of Pacific earning Freshman of the Year honors, and Ryan Redondo from Pacific being named Coach of the Year.
