Men's Cross Country

Chuck Assumma was an All-Region performer in cross country for the Highladners winning the individual national champonship in 1981. After his sophomore year, he gave up competitive running to pursue his love of aviation. After graduating from UC Riverside, Assumma entered the Air Force and flew 52 missions in the Persian Gulf War (1990-91).
