Judy Shapiro-Ikenberry

Although women's intercollegiate sports were not available when Judy Shapiro-Ikenberry attended UC Riverside, she was a nationally recognized runner finishing fifth in the 800m at the US Olympic Trials in 1960. At the 1961 National Track & Field Championships, she finished fourth in the 800m and fifth in the 400m. Shapiro-Ikenberry would go on to win the 1967 Las Vegas Marathon and the 1974 AAU National Women's Marathon. In 1977, she won the National 50 Mile Track Championship.
