Louie Fiatoa was known as a tenacious hitter during his three years as a starter at defensive end for the UC Riverside football team. In 1973, he was named the Highlanders team MVP, and earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. UC Riverside went 17-3 during his final two seasons, and after graduation he played for the Hawaiians of the World Football League.Â
