Pat Hill earned All-America honors in 1972 and 1973 as a center for the Highlanders football team. He was also a two-time All-Conference honoree, team captain and Most Valuable Lineman award winner. Hill began his coaching career in 1974 as the offensive line coach at LA Valley College. He would later serve as an assistant with Utah and UNLV before joining the Calgary Stampede of the Canadian Football League for one season. Hill's next two coaching stops were at Fresno State and Arizona, and he got his first crack at an NFL job in 1992 as the tight ends and offensive line coach with the Cleveland Browns. After one season with the Baltimore Ravens in 1996, he returned to Fresno State as the team's head coach. In the fall of 2010, Hill began his 13th season as the chief architect of the Bulldogs.
