Sam Cash is a two-time CCAA Men's Basketball Player of the Year (1970-’71, 1971-’72) and earned All-American honors in 1971. In 1971-72, he was named the Southern California College Division Player of the Year, and at the time of his graduation, he held UC Riverside records for rebounds in a game and in a season. The NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers drafted him in April of 1972, and he later played professionally with the Memphis Tams of the ABA during the 1972-’73 season.
