Plata/Corpuz Fall in Consolation Semifinals Doubles Match

Fullerton, CA - Two members of the UC Riverside women's tennis team completed play on Sunday morning in the consolation semi-finals at the Cal State Fullerton Tournament. View results from day one and day two.
The duo of Roxanne Plata (left) and Angelique Corpuz reached the semi-finals in doubles after winning their second round match on Saturday. It was a close contest for UCR, but the tandem of Rice and Oats from Pepperdine defeated Plata and Corpuz 9-7.
The women's tennis team returns to the courts at the ITA Regional Championships in San Diego beginning Oct. 22.
