Seattle, CA—The UC Riverside Women's Cross Country Team ran in the NCAA West Regional Championship Friday afternoon at Jefferson Golf Course, finishing in 17th place out of 28 teams with a 485 total.
Damajeria DuBose paced the Highlanders with a 39th place finish, running the 6k course in 20:44. Jzsanette Lindstrom placed 81st running in 21:24, while Alisha Brown was 109th in 21:43, and Raquel Hefflin finished 119th in 21:50.
Brianna Simmons came in 138th place with a time of 22:14, while Jaasmin Pina was 151st in 22:22, and Katy Daly placed 156th in 22:25.
The Pac-12 took the top four spots in the championship, with Oregon winning the crown with a total of 64 points. Stanford and Arizona tied for second place with 85 points followed by Washington with 96.
From the Big West Conference, UC Davis was the top finisher as they placed sixth, with Cal Poly coming in 11th, and UC Santa Barbara 16th.
Individually, Oregon's Jordan Hasay won the championship with a time of 19:16.
