UC Riverside's Tatum Lockett, Elizabeth Silas Named To USD All-Tournament Team

San Diego, CA—UC Riverside freshman Tatum Lockett and sophomore Elizabeth Silas were named to the USD All-Tournament Team Sunday following the Highlanders' 2-1 overtime victory over San Jose State.
Lockett ensured her spot on the All-Tournament Team after scoring both goals in the Highlanders' win. With less than seven minutes left in the first half, Head Coach Nat Gonzalez substituted the mid-fielder into the match, and she responded with her first goal of the season within a minute of being on the field. That score tied the match at one apiece.
Lockett's second score came in the first overtime period with just 56 seconds gone off the clock. The last time a member of the Highlanders scored two goals in a match was on October 26, 2008 when Tessa Lennala scored a pair at Cal State Fullerton.
Silas recorded four saves for the Highlanders, none more important than the shot that the Spartans sent her way with just five seconds gone in the first overtime. She was able to corral the potential game-winning strike, and 51 seconds later Lockett gave UC Riverside the victory.
