Norberto Ochoa Signs Contract With Charlotte Independence Of The USL

Charlotte, NC— The Charlotte Independence today announced the signing of dynamic forward Norberto Ochoa. He is the ninth new player to reach agreement with the second-year USL club this offseason, and brings the current roster up to 18.
Ochoa spent the 2015 season playing at UC Riverside, where he earned NSCAA Third Team All-Far West Region and First Team All-Big West Conference honors. The forward appeared in 19 games last season, making 14 starts and recording seven goals plus two assists. Ochoa also spent two years at California Junior College power Mount San Antonio, earning a National Championship in 2011 and being named MVP of the 2012 CCCAA Finals.
