Highlanders To Participate In 15th Annual Backpack Giveaway At Castle Park Saturday

Riverside—UC Riverside student-athletes, coaches and administrators will be at Castle Park on Saturday, August 6th from 8 to 10:30 am assisting The Adrian Dell and Carmen Roberts Foundation, the Riverside Unified School District, the NAACP, the African American Historical Society, A Foundation 4 Kids, and Raceway Ford as they take part in their 15th Annual Backpack Giveaway.
Intercollegiate Athletics Director Tamica Smith Jones, Head Coaches Tim Cuppello (Men's Soccer), Dennis Cutts (Men's Basketball), and John Margaritis (Women's Basketball) will all be present; as well as UCR mascot Scotty Highlander.
The Highlanders will be distributing free backpack filled with school supplies to more than 1,000 school children at the 15th annual event. For additional information, please contact Russell Ward at 909-621-2122 or email unity@adcrfoundation.org.
