Men’s Soccer Unveils Challenging 2024 Slate

Highlanders to play eight home matches in 2024
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside and head men's soccer coach Tim Cupello have released the program's 2024 schedule. Â
The Highlanders will play eight matches at the UCR Soccer Stadium this fall, starting with friendlies against Hope International (August 9) and Westcliff (August 12). UCR will also travel west to Cal State LA for a third friendly on August 16 before the season kicks off on August 23 at San Diego State. Â
UC Riverside will open the regular season home schedule with Youth Soccer Night on Thursday, August 29 against Utah Tech and will wrap up the first home weekend against Pacific (September 1) in a rematch of the 2018 NCAA Tournament First Round. The Highlanders' home stand will be short lived before spending a month away from the UCR Soccer Stadium, a stretch that features contests at LMU (September 6), Stanford (September 10), Air Force (September 20) and California Baptist (September 25).Â
UCR gets the ball rolling in Big West action on October 2 at CSUN before heading north to Sacramento State (October 5) to finish the lengthy road trip. The Highlanders will play four Big West matches at home this season against UC Irvine (October 9), Cal State Fullerton (October 16), UC Davis (October 19) and UC Santa Barbara (November 2). Â
UCR will host Latin Heritage Night against UC Irvine and International Night against Cal State Fullerton before honoring Highlander seniors and fans with Supporters Night against UC Santa Barbara. Â
