Rynn leads Highlanders at Kalispel Invitational

SPOKANE, Wash. — UC Riverside women's golf wrapped up the Kalispel Invitational on Tuesday, highlighted by Emma Rynn's under-par second round and Lauren Lee's strong finish at Kalispel Golf and Country Club.

Rynn led the Highlanders with a 12-over-par 228 to tie for 41st. After opening with an 80, Rynn found her rhythm in the second round with a 1-under 71 before closing with a 77.

Sophia Soto followed with a 232 after rounds of 78, 76 and 78 to tie for 55th. Lee saved her best golf for the final round, carding a 1-over 73 to finish at 233 and tied for 59th.

Riley Shin posted rounds of 81, 78 and 84 for a 243, while Kaylin Rhee rounded out the Highlander lineup with a 246.

As a team, UC Riverside finished 14th with a 54-hole total of 934. The Highlanders made their biggest move in the second round, shaving 18 strokes off their opening-round score with a 303.

Boise State captured the team title with a three-round total of 861, while Leia Chung earned individual medalist honors at 4-under 212.
The Highlanders head to Tacoma Washington to compete in the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational beginning October 5th.
