UC Riverside Athletics to Broadcast Events Outside the United States

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside Athletics is proud to announce expanded coverage of its athletic events as part of Big West International, an initiative that will provide live and on-demand coverage to Highlander fans, families, and communities outside the United States.Â
This endeavor will strengthen UCR Athletics' global partnerships while allowing the families, friends, and communities of international student-athletes to watch their Highlanders compete at the highest level.
"UC Riverside is already a globally recognized Research 1 institution, and now we have an opportunity to elevate Highlander Athletics' international presence to new heights," said athletics director Greg Paules. "For our student-athletes, this is especially meaningful as their families and friends around the world will have the opportunity to watch them compete. At the same time, it gives prospective international students another way to see what it means to be a Highlander and experience the energy, excellence and community that UCR offers."

UC Riverside's first internationally-streamed contest will be this Saturday's women's soccer Crosstown Showdown against California Baptist. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 pm PT at the UCR Soccer Stadium, and tickets are available now at www.GoHighlanders.com/tickets.
