Chuck Perdue joined the Highlanders staff as a volunteer assistant coach in the summer of 2008 following four years as the head cross country and track coach at Arrowhead Christian Academy in Redlands, entering his 17th year with the program in 2024. 

Under his leadership, there was immediate success and unprecedented growth in both programs. He coached four athletes to league MVP, 13 athletes earned all conference in cross country and 13 more made the all conference team in track and field.

His track teams rewrote the record book with 20 new school records and many CIF performances. He took both teams and individuals to the CIF Cross Country Finals, and was named the Christian League coach of the year twice in cross country.

Prior to his stint at ACA, he was a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Redlands, working with both cross country and track teams.

He graduated from Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland in 1980, where he ran cross country, indoor and outdoor track. He was a certified track and field official from 1983 through 1999. He has a USA Track and Field Level 1 and Level 2 Coaching Certification in Endurance.
