Calvin Hom

Calvin Hom joined the UC Riverside Sports Medicine staff in Summer 2023.

He attended College of the Canyons where he received an Associates of Arts in Kinesiology- Physical Education and Sports Medicine as well as San Diego State University where he got a degree in Athletic Training. Calvin finished his education at California University of Pennsylvania with a masters in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention.

Calvin has been a certified and licensed athletic trainer in Oklahoma, Kentucky and Texas. He is member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and College Athletic Trainers’ Society (CATS).

Previously, Calvin worked at The University of Tulsa (football, women’s soccer and rowing), University of Louisville (men’s soccer and tennis) and Rice University (football). As a student, Calvin was selected by the Denver Broncos for an NFL Summer Internship.

Calvin is a Southern California native, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new foods, and traveling. Calvin is also a Certified Starbucks Coffee Master, entitled to wear the Black apron, among those who have achieved the highest level of coffee expertise from the Starbucks Coffee Academy.
