Dr. Ryan Buller (DO, CAQSM) is a fellowship-trained Sports Medicine Physician and serves as the Director of Sports Medicine and Head Team Physician at the University of California, Riverside. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor, where he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical trainees.
A Southern California native raised in the Inland Empire, Dr. Buller has dedicated his career to caring for the community he calls home. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Western University of Health Sciences. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Riverside University Health System, followed by a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Buller provides comprehensive care to athletes and active individuals of all levels. He has extensive experience serving as a team physician for high schools, colleges, and elite athletic organizations, including his current role with UC Riverside Athletics. His clinical expertise includes injury prevention, non-operative orthopedic care, and return-to-play management.
A leader in sports medicine education, Dr. Buller has founded and directed two ACGME-accredited Sports Medicine Fellowship programs in Riverside County. He is passionate about program development, physician mentorship, and advancing the field of sports medicine.
