Karen Han (pictured) began the 2010 indoor track and field season by etching her name into the UCR record books clearing 5' 7.75" in the high jump at the UW Invitational in Seattle, Washington. Jennifer Berman was the previous record holder, having jumped 5' 6.5" back in 1999.
Allison Wilder also started the year in fine fashion besting 36 other competitors in the triple jump with a leap of 41' 5" breaking her own UC Riverside record by more than a foot.
On the men's side, the 4x400 relay team of Jerome Rideaux, Marcus Marbrey, Bryan Adams and Sean Ferrera topped the Highlanders indoor record with a time of 3:16.57. Marbrey, Rideaux and Ferrera were all part of the team that established the old record of 3:18.25 on February 14, 2009.
