McKay And Raney Win Singles Matches On Day 1 At UC Irvine Fall Invitational

Irvine, CA - The UC Riverside women’s tennis team competed in day one of the UC Irvine Fall Invitational at the Anteater Tennis Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Both Taylor Raney (pictured) and Natalie McKay won their consolation singles matches in round one of the Invitational. Raney defeated Orsi Golovics from NAU 6-1, 6-2, while McKay defeated Arizona's Elizabeth Hammond 6-0, 6-2.
The tournament, which features three flights of singles and one double’s flight, includes players from UC Irvine, UC Riverside, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, and Loyola Marymount University. The UC Irvine Fall Invitational will continue Saturday with play starting at 9:00 a.m., weather permitting.
