Macherez Wins Consolation Singles In Qualifying Draw

Los Angeles, CA - UC Riverside men's tennis player Felix Macherez won the consolation singles title in the qualifying draw event at the 54th Annual SoCal Intercollegiate on Saturday afternoon.
Macherez defeated Daniel Moss of Pepperdine 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinals to advance to the finals, where he then won 6-4, 6-4 over UCSD's Sam Ling to claim the consolation championship of the qualifying draw.
