Allison Wilder Breaks UC Riverside Indoor Triple Jump Mark

For the second time in as many weeks, Allison Wilder broke the UC Riverside indoor triple jump mark leaping 42' 2.25" at the Husky Classic in Seattle Washington Saturday afternoon. It was the final indoor meet for the Highlanders who open their outdoor season at the All Cal Challenge Cup in Irvine, CA on February 27.
Wilder's jump broke the record she set just two weeks ago at the University of Washington Invitational where she jumped 41' 5" and also bested the NCAA Indoor Provisional qualifying mark.
Wilder wasn't the only member of the Highlanders to re-write the record books as Travis Smith's shot put of 54' 0" established a new UCR indoor benchmark. That toss was good enough for sixth place overall in the event.
