Reid, Wilder, Guenther Head To Des Moines, IA For Nationals

Des Moines, IA—UC Riverside's Allison Wilder (pictured) and Lauren Reid (pictured) are off to Des Moines, Iowa next week for the 2010 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Peter Guenther joins them as he takes part in the 2010 USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Drake Stadium on the campus of Drake University is host to events which run from June 23-27.
Wilder and Reid will compete in the triple jump while Martinez runs in the 800m. Wilder broke the Highlanders indoor triple jump mark this season and finished 15th in the event at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship.
Reid established the school outdoor marks in the triple jump and long jump this year winning a conference title in the triple jump. At the NCAA West Region Prelim in May she finished 13th in the triple jump and 19th in the long jump.
Guenther is participating in the 400m hurdles after finishing 12th in the Big West in the event as a freshman this year.

ESPN and NBC will televise portions of the Championships beginning with ESPN's two-hours of coverage on June 25 from 6-8 pm PT. ESPN also broadcasts on June 26 and June 27 from 11 am-12:30 pm. NBC's coverage begins on June 26 from 1-2 pm and concludes on June 27 from 1-2 pm.
