Jordyn McDonald Named Big West Conference Pitcher Of The Week

Irvine, CA - UC Riverside softball junior Jordyn McDonald has been named the Big West Conference's Pitcher of the Week on Monday after going 1-1 over the weekend with a 1.00 ERA.
McDonald picked up her first win of the season in a 6-1 victory over Minnesota on Friday. She pitched all seven innings scattering four hits while striking out seven.
In a 4-0 loss to Loyola Marymount on Sunday, McDonald gave up just one earned run while striking out four in 7.0 innings of work.
This is the second straight Big West award for the Highlanders, as Kayla White was named Player of the Week on February 14.
UC Riverside continues its homestand with a doubleheader against #9/12 ranked Hawaii on Tuesday, February 22 at noon at Amy S. Harrison Field.
