Men's Golf In Third After One Complete Round At Firestone Grill Inv.

Round 1 Results
Nipomo, CA - The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team fired a 287 score Monday to place third out of 10 teams at the Firestone Grill Cal Poly Invitational. The second round of play was suspended due to darkness with about three or four holes to play. The second round will be completed Tuesday morning at 9 am PT, with the final round to follow at about 10:30 am.
Jason Semthiti paced the Highlanders with a 68 to tie for 6th overall, while BJ Doucett shot 71 to tie for 11th.
David Gazzolo carded a 73 and is tied for 18th while Ryan Smith shot 75 and Matt Fitzgerald fired a 76.
UCR's 287 team score is just three strokes behind the leader, Cal State Northridge (284), and two shots back of second-place Seattle (285).
