Jessica Vasser Named Big West Conference Softball Player Of The Week

Irvine, CA—The Big West Conference announced today that UC Riverside's Jessica Vasser has been named the Conference Softball Player of the Week for games played April 16-22.
The junior came up big in the Highlanders series win over Cal State Fullerton over the weekend, going 4-for-6 with five RBI and four runs on Saturday. For the weekend, she hit .500 with a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .636 on base percentage.
The San Diego native recorded a career-best with three runs scored in the second game of the doubleheader on Saturday, and her three hits and three RBI in game one tied her personal-best.
UC Riverside took two of three games from the Titans for just the second time in the program's Division I history.
The Highlanders continue league play with a three-game series at Long Beach State beginning on Saturday, April 28.
