Jamie Raney Named Second-Team All-Big West Conference In Singles

Irvine, CA—The Big West Conference doled out its end of season hardware today, naming UC Riverside Women's Tennis sophomore Jamie Raney to the All-Conference Second Team in singles.
Raney was the Highlanders No. 1 singles player, posting a 5-12 mark in dual action this spring. She was 2-6 in league play, with one of those victories coming over a ranked opponent, Long Beach State's Rachel Manasse, ranked number 111 at the time.
Raney teamed up with her sister, Taylor, in doubles action at No. 1 for UC Riverside, going 6-10 at the top spot.
Long Beach State senior Anais Dallara headlined the 2012 Women's Tennis All-Conference Team with her selection as the Big West Player of the Year. Long Beach State's Jenny Hilt-Costello earned Big West Coach of the Year praise while Iveta Masarova of Pacific earned Freshman of the Year recognition.
