Riverside—Anheuser-Busch has teamed up with the UC Riverside Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and chosen Men's Track & Field athlete Ryan Swafford as the July recipient of the "Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport of the Month." Please visit the Budweiser Responsibility Matters web page to view past recipients.
At the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in June, Swafford finished 16th in the men's triple jump earning Second-Team, All-America honors in the process. It was the first All-America distinction for a member of the UC Riverside Men's Track & Field Team since making the transition to Division I.
Swafford's best jump was his first of 15.56m (51' 0.75"). The top nine combined finishers out of the two flights advanced to the finals, and it would have taken a leap of 15.91m to break into that group.
Anheuser-Busch congratulates Swafford for demonstrating that RESPONSIBILITY REALLY DOES MATTER!
