Ashkan Khosravi Named Big West Conference Defensive Player Of The Week

Irvine, CA—The Big West announced today that UC Riverside goalkeeper Ashkan Khosravi is the conference's Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for matches played from October 14-20.

Khosravi helped author the double overtime draw with a career-high eight saves. The normally potent Matadors offense failed to register a goal for the first time in 17 matches. CSUN entered the match atop several NCAA statistical categories, including points per match, total assists, total points and assists per match.
It was Khosravi's second shutout in four matches after missing the initial 10 matches of the season with an injury.
