Women's Golf Tied For Second Place At Firestone Grill Cal Poly Invitational

Arroyo Grande, CA - The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team shot a 316 team score Monday in the first round of the Firestone Grill Cal Poly Invitational to tie for second place out of 11 squads with one round remaining. Complete Results
UCR is tied with Sonoma State and Seattle for that second spot, only six strokes behind the leader and host, Cal Poly. Weber State, Santa Clara, and the Cal Poly B team are all tied for fifth with identical 318 totals.
Savannah Vilaubi is tied for fifth overall shooting a 75 to pace the Highlanders, while Brittani Ferraro shot 76 to tie for 10th place.
Yuri Ahn is in 20th with an 80 while Haley Wian and Isabelle Shee are both tied for 53rd with first-round scores of 85.
Playing as an individual, Hannah Lee is tied for 26th place shooting an 81.
Santa Clara's Annie Freman, Cal Poly B's Alex Phillips, and Cal Poly's Jamie Corr lead the individual field with first-round scores of 73.
The Firestone Grill Cal Poly Invitational concludes Tuesday morning with a final 18-hole round beginning at 8:30 am PT.
