Men's Golf In Third After Two Rounds At Triumph At Pauma Valley

Pauma Valley, CA - The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team fired a 603 two-round score Monday at the Triumph at Pauma Valley to place third out of nine teams with one round to go.
The Highlanders scores of 298-305 pits them two ahead of fourth-place British Columbia (605) and five in front of fifth-place Bowling Green (608). San Francisco leads the team field with a 572, four strokes ahead of BYU (576) in second place.
Jason Semthiti is UCR's individual leader with a six-over-par 148 (72-76) to place 12th.
Matt Fitzgerald is tied for 13th with scores of 76-75 (151), while Ryan Smith (75-77) and David Gazzolo (75-77) shot identical 152's to tie for 18th.
BJ Doucett rounds out the squad in 34th place with a 157 (77-80).
BYU's Justin Keiley leads the individual field with a two-under par 140, three strokes ahead of the next competitor.
The tournament concludes with a final 18-hole round beginning at 7:30 am on Tuesday.
