Ted Hooper Named Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport Of The Month
7/1/2013 9:05:00 AM | Men's Track and Field
Riverside—Anheuser-Busch has teamed up with the UC Riverside Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and chosen men's track and field athlete Ted Hooper as its July recipient of the "Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport of the Month." Please visit the Budweiser Responsibility Matters web page to view past recipients.
Hooper earned Second-Team All-America status after finishing 13th in the long jump at the NCAA National Championship on June 6 with a top mark of 7.60m (24' 11.25").
He then competed at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships finishing 13th overall in the long jump. His best attempt cleared 7.70m (25' 3.25")—just four-and-a-half inches off of his career best. It would have taken a leap of nearly 8.0 meters to advance to the finals.
Anheuser-Busch congratulates Hooper for demonstrating that RESPONSIBILITY REALLY DOES MATTER!
