Highlander Highlight: A Day In The Life Of ... Ashkan Khosravi

Riverside—UC Riverside soccer player Ashkan Khosravi returns for his sophomore season following last year's record-setting campaign. We here at gohighlanders.com got to know him a little better this summer via our Highlander Highlights series.

Ashkan ...
   ... is from Dallas, Texas by way of Iran.
      ... has scored three goals as a goalkeeper, none of which were penalty kicks.
         ... was a member of the 12U Iran National Team.
            ... has played soccer in four countries (Iran, Turkey, the Emirates and the United States.
His favorite quote is "Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will."
One place where Ashkan wouldn't be caught dead is an American football field (he can't stand Football).
In addition to English, Ashkan also speaks Farsi and Turkish.
If he could learn to do anything, he would learn to play tennis.
Ashkan loves the fact that he has been able to work towards his goals academically and athletically without letting the distractions of college life affect his sport or classes.
