Carlos ...
... is from Santa Clarita, CA
... is the oldest of five children
... is majoring in sociology/law and society
... loves to watch baseball games at Dodger Stadium
... is afraid of the dark
                  ... loves the outdoors
Carlos considers his greatest achievement so far to have been when he and his team won the Division II Cross-Country State Championships in 2011. He also placed 11th at the Nike Cross Nationals that same year.
His motto in life is to never to give up on himself even after everyone else has.
Something people may not know about Carlos is that Spanish was his first language.
He believes the secret to a great life is simply being happy with whatever path one takes in life.
The thing Carlos loves about himself is that he has grown to see the world in so many different perspectives that not many people will get a chance to experience in their lives.
Keep your eyes peeled all year long for additional Highlander Highlights, and get to know more about the current crop of UC Riverside's student-athletes.
To support Carlos and the rest of the student-athletes that make up our 17 intercollegiate sports, please donate to the UC Riverside Athletics Association by visiting the Association's web site.
