Highlander Highlight: A Day In The Life Of ... Brianna Simmons

Riverside—UC Riverside cross country and track runner Brianna Simmons returns to the Inland Empire for her sophomore campaign this year, and we here at gohighlanders.com got to know her a little better this summer via our Highlander Highlights series.

Brianna ...
   ... is from Beverly Hills, California.
      ... has a phobia of heights, snakes, and spiders.
         ... is majoring in sociology.
            ... can speak french.
               ... does not like the color pink.
                  ... misses having naptime in school.
If Brianna could witness any event, she would want to witness when her parents met as teenagers.
Her two mottos in life are: "Success is not by chance, it's by choice" and "Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly."
Brianna's hidden talents are that she can play the violin and clarinet, and also knows how to knit and make her own clothes.
One famous person she has previously met was Michael Jackson.
Brianna's greatest accomplishment so far is helping save a woman's life while volunteering at a hospital.
