Hayden Leslie Named Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Week

Irvine, CA—The Big West announced today that UC Riverside senior defender Hayden Leslie is the Men's Soccer Conference Defensive Player of the Week for matches played from August 26 through September 1
The Highlanders pitched two shutouts over the weekend beating Iona 1-0 in the team's season opener Friday night, and upending Marist 2-0 on Sunday afternoon. Leslie played all 180 minutes in the victories, as the UC Riverside defense allowed just two shots on goal. Leslie was responsible for marking the oppositions top offensive player for much of the weekend.
