
Men's Soccer Remains Unbeaten With 2-0 Victory Over Georgia State

Las Vegas, NV—The UC Riverside Men's Soccer Team ran its record to 3-0 on the young season Friday afternoon as they upended Georgia State, 2-0, in game one of the UNLV Nike Invitational (Box Score).
Hector Romo got the Highlanders on the board in the 13th minute when his free kick found its way through the Bulldogs' wall and past GSU keeper CJ Cochram.
Ulises Mosqueda made it 2-0 Highlanders with less than two minutes to go as he collected an Ivan Garcia pass and slotted it into the back of the net.
The UC Riverside defense pitched its third straight shutout as KC John only had to make two saves on the afternoon.
The host Rebels take on Bradley in the late match tonight at 7 pm PT. On Sunday, it is the Highlanders' turn to take on Bradley with kick off slated for 10:30 am PT, while UNLV concludes the tournament with a 1 pm PT start against Georgia State.
