College Sports Madness Names Earle BW Defensive Player Of Year, Salazar To First Team

Riverside—College Sports Madness released its 2014 Big West Men's Soccer All-Conference Teams this morning, naming UC Riverside's Otis Earle the Big West Defensive Player of the Year and to the First Team, and Michael Salazar to the Big West First Team. This comes on the heals of the 2014 Big West Men's Soccer All-Conference Team release, naming both Earle and Salazar to the First-Team last week (story).

Earle finished third in the team with two goals, four assists and eight points in 2014, while ranking third in the league for conference-only games with three assists and tied for seventh place in overall games with four assists.

Salazar led the team with 56 shots and six goals. He was named Big West Conference Offensive Player of the Week, College Sports Madness Big West Player of the week, and to College Soccer News National Team of the week (story) for his performance during UC Riverside's season-opener against Pacific (box score/recap/video).

UC Riverside now prepares to host a Big West Semifinal match against Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday, November 12 at 7 pm PT at the UCR Soccer Stadium.
