Hefflin Named Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport Of The Month

Riverside, CA—Anheuser-Busch has teamed up with the UC Riverside Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and chosen women's cross country runner Raquel Hefflin as its November recipient of the "Budweiser Responsibility Matters Good Sport of the Month." Hefflin won the 6k Big West Conference Championship on November 1 in a new school and personal-best time of 20:12.6. She beat out the next competitor by 10 seconds to become the first Highlanders women's runner to win the individual league title in the program's Division I history (story).
Earlier in October, Hefflin set a new school record after winning the 5k Highlander Invitational, helping UCR to a first place finish out of eight squads (story). She was later named the Big West Female Athlete of the Week for her performance (story).
Anheuser-Busch congratulates Hefflin for demonstrating that RESPONSIBILITY REALLY DOES MATTER!
