Riverside—UC Riverside Men's Golfer Léven Simon-Seay is in his freshman season with the blue and gold, and we here at gohighlanders.com got to know him a little better this spring via our Highlander Highlights series.
(View Past Highlander Highlights)
Léven ...
... is from Santa Monica, CA
... lives live by the motto "Just do you, and be proud of it."
... is majoring in business
... was born in the Netherlands
... will not eat mushrooms
... hopes to be playing professional golf and writing/producing music
Léven has a superstition where he believes it is bad luck if he doesn't say "bless you" when someone sneezes.
He believes the secret to a great life is being honest with yourself, finding what makes you happy, and then doing whatever it takes to attain that happiness.
Léven believes that student-athletes are under-appreciated for their work ethic given the demand to balance school, sports, schoolwork, and a social life.
From his childhood, he misses the lack of responsibility and actually getting sleep.
Léven would have loved to have been in the recording sessions with Stevie Wonder in the 70s and 80s.
