Big West Names Ashkan Khosravi Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Irvine, CA—The Big West today announced the UC Riverside goalkeeper Ashkan Khosravi is the conference's Defensive Player of the Week for matches played from September 15-21.

It is the fifth career player of the week honor for the junior, who won the award twice during his freshman campaign and twice as a sophomore. The five Player of the Week citations tie Khosravi for third in conference history. Â
Khosravi logged all 110 minutes of a scoreless draw against San Diego on Thursday. His five saves helped the Highlanders end a four-match losing slide, and silence a Torero offense that produced 13 goals in six previous contests.
He also moved into third place on UCR's career saves list with 124.
