Men's Golf Second, Lutz Third, Gillis Fifth After Two Rounds At The Folino Invitational

Industry Hills--The UC Riverside Men's Golf team maintained its second place position through the second round of the Folino Invitational. Matt Lutz is tied for third and Sam Gillis after two rounds played is tied for fifth.

Samford (578) holds the overall team lead, 12 shots ahead of the Highlanders (590). Long Beach State (595) is in third five shots back of the Highlanders, followed by Cal State Fullerton in fourth and UC Santa Barbara in fifth. (view team leaderboard)

UCR was just one shot ahead of third place Long Beach State at the end of the first round, they increased that lead to five shots through 36 holes.

The overall individual lead is held by Long Beach State's Daniel Chian (138, -6) who's opening round 68 was only matched by Sam Gillis (145, +1) and was the low round of the day.

Ashton Nix (143,-1) is second, followed by Lutz (144, E) and Samford's Zach Hughes. Puchara Sakulyong (150, +6) is tied for 15th, Michael Wong (152, +8) T21 and Andrew Spilman (156,+12) T33. (view individual leaderboard)
