Fresno, CA—The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team moved up one spot to finish in 15th place, Tuesday, at the Nick Watney Invitational.
Matt Lutz led the Highlanders on the final day of the tournament shooting a 74, while
Bahram Talle finished first on the team overall, carding a 73-77-77=227 over the 72 holes.
TOURNAMENT NOTES
Bahram Talle's three-round total of 227 was the lowest of his UC Riverside career.
Brandon Tsujimoto's 36 pars over the 72 holes were tied for the eighth most of the tournament.
Talle's nine birdies were tied for the seventh most of the invitational.
Talle and
Tyler Moore each were two under par for the tournament on the par 5s, which was tied for the 19th lowest score of the event.
Four other Big West Teams competed in the Nick Watney Invitational—UC Santa Barbara (7th), CSUN (T10th), UC Irvine (14th), and Cal Poly (16th).
