Riverside—The UC Riverside Athletics Department unveiled its Young Alumni program this week, which allows UCR graduates from the last five years (2013-17) to continue to follow and support the Highlanders through the purchase of discounted season tickets priced as low as $25.
 
"Engaging alumni, building our base of season ticket holders and increasing attendance at home games is a major focus of our athletics program," Director of Athletics Tamica Smith Jones said. "We are evaluating new opportunities to engage our most recent graduates and alumni following our programs.  Our coaches have connected with more alums over the past years as they have been invited back for alumni games.  The Young Alumni Ticket is a feasible incentive to keep them committed to supporting the team. We truly appreciate their support of Highlander sports and it's been a joy meeting many of them.  Hopefully, this will afford opportunity for us to engage many more." 
 
Under the new Young Alumni program, any UCR student who graduated in 2013 or later with an undergraduate or graduate degree is eligible to purchase two (2) season tickets for all ticketed sports, that includes men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, and softball. 
 
"Our players and coaches consistently say they play better when their venue is packed," says Smith Jones. "We need our young alumni to bring the same passion and excitement at every home game."

Pricing per package for Young Alumni is $40 for each basketball program, $30 each for baseball and softball, and $25 each for men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball, which includes admission to each of the respective sports' home contests during the regular season.
 
Each package includes a one-year membership to the UC Riverside Alumni Association, with the benefit of having the ability to bring one guest free with each Young Alumni season ticket purchased. Young Alumni can purchase up to two packages per sport.
